The Estate of Hans Keilson
Hans Keilson was a Jewish German/Dutch novelist, poet, psychoanalyst, and child psychologist who wrote about traumas relating to what happened in Europe during WWII. In particular, he worked with traumatized orphans. Some of his novels deal with the same time period, though his first one was published in 1934. He was also active in the Dutch Resistance. In 2008 he received the Die Welt Literature Prize.

"Stunningly accomplished and self-assured for such a young writer this novel, published initially in 1933 when Keilson was in his early 20s, gives a haunting portrait of Germany between the two world wars . . . Both methodical and acutely sensitive, this book is a wonderful achievement." - Publishers Weekly (starred review)
